Abstract: The exploration has been experimentally bond for studying the dielectric properties of ZnO varistors. The formu-la for calculating capacitance per grain boundary has been derived ZnO the basis of microstructure of ZnO varistors. Thecv curve has been experimentally obtained and the theory is in agreement with the experiments. Under the directionof theory, the natural capacitance can be controlled, the ZnO varistors adapting various requirments have been manu-factured by using suitable composition and process.
