Abstract: We have get the distribution of deformation and stress of a14T milland point out the position of danger profile and its stress valuethrough computed with infinite elements model in which cylinder is proceeded as plate shell and axis is did as solid elements．The result indicate that the strength analysis with beam model of mill is not suitableand the cylider thickness can be optimized for there is a lot storage with mill strength．The result could provided a base of mill design．
