Abstract: The proton induced X- ray emission(PIXE)technique is used to analyze a group of Song Ru ware shard and a group of Song Ru ware shard of folk kiln and a group of Song Junware shard of folk kiln.The majorand trace chemical constitution and concentration of body and glaze are measured and are compared with each other.It find that the composition of body of Jun wares of folk kiln are similar to those of Ruwares and Ruwares of folk kiln.There are higher concentration of Al,Ca,Rb and lower concentration of Si in glaze of Ruware,and there are higher conerntration of Si,Cu,Zr and lower concentration of Al,Rb in the Jun wares of folk kiln.The visual discriminator and discrimination functions are acquired by pattern recognition,these will be fundament of distinguishing Song Ru ware and Song Jun ware.
