Abstract: The valence number and the concentration of counterion are always critical to the preparation of concentrated slurry.Inthis work20vol.% Si3N4slurries containing various NaCl concentration at pH=11as a examplethe influence of the saltaddedconcentration on the flow behavior and the viscoelastic behavior are investigated using rheometer in steady and dynamicoscillatory modes.Although the results are contradict with the classic DLVO theorythe rheological properties of various slurriesare consistent with each other.
