Abstract: The valence number and the concentration of counterion are always critical to the preparation of concentrated slurry.Inthis work‚20vol.% Si3N4slurries containing various NaCl concentration at pH=11as a example‚the influence of the saltaddedconcentration on the flow behavior and the viscoelastic behavior are investigated using rheometer in steady and dynamicoscillatory modes.Although the results are contradict with the classic DLVO theory‚the rheological properties of various slurriesare consistent with each other.

Keywords: salt-added slurries‚flow behavior‚viscoelastic behavior
