Abstract: This paper conducted a study on motion specifitity of outer geneva mechanismand gave out a non-dimension calculating method of driving torque about this mechanism by introducing non-dimension method. On the basis of the resultreal value and non-dimension. Value of motion paamiters about this mechanism in different number of groove were also compared and analysedin order to simplify the formulas of driving torquesome of the parameters were merged into a coefficient in the case of conforming safe driving and engineering precisionthereforecame up with a simple formulas of driving torque and relevant coefficient table for its calculating. When designing this mechanismaccording to primitive designing parameters and by combining the application of the coefficient tablea satisfying result can be achieved through simple calculation.
