On The Ceramic Painting on The Cizhou Wares of North China in the Song Dynasty

Abstract: Chinese ceramic painting can be divided into two types, including the styles of South China and North China before the appearance of Jingdezhen times. The Cizhou wares porcelain painting in the Song Dynasty belongs to the North China style. Cizhou ware' s painting style was influenced by the royal painting style due to its location around the capital Bianjing of Fucheng in the Song Dynasty,which was considered to be the basis of the Cizhou ware' s porcelain painting in the Song Dynasty. Therefore it was influenced on some extents by Changsha wares in the Tang Dynasty but was characterized by its own basic qualities.
