Abstract: Developed in the past decade‚Pulse Electric Current Sintering is a type of the latest and speedy sintering technology‚ which is characterized by high heating-up rate‚short sintering period and easy control of the microstructure of sintered body.It draws a great attention to show is remarkable advantages in the preparation of nanomaterials and composites as well in the circle of materials science and industrial sectors. The characteristics and research state of pulse electric current sintering is introduced ‚and its future prospects in the material’s development are also looked forward.

Key words: pulse electric current sintering‚spark plasma sintering‚plasma activated sintering‚sintering mechanism‚nana material
