Abstract: The paper gives a brief account of the mechanism and application of surfactant in nano－TiO₂particle modification．Organic modifying agents are used to improve the surface wetting property and dispersity of nano－TiO₂ particles‚while inorganic wraping agents are used to improve the endurance and chemical stability of nano－TiO₂ particles．The modifying agents and technology introduced in the paper can be considered in modifying other nano－particles．
