Abstract: Factor analysis and canonical correlation analysis were introduced in this paper firstly．Then factor analysis of dwelling actualities investigatory data in some cities was doneand space configuration analysis was performed further by the method of canonical correlation analysis．Thus not only incidences among variables but also causal relation were acquiredand it will be of reference to investigative organizing work in the future．
