Abstract: With the development of modern missiles, high performance radomes are required. Porous ceramic is regarded as an ideal radome material for its excellent electric and thermal properties. The classification and preparation process of porous ceramics are reviewed. Development and application of some porous ceramic materials are briefly reviewed. The future study directions for porous ceramics materials in the field of radome is prospected.
