Abstract: Stealth technology which can improve survivability, defense capability and attack capability of all kinds of weapons in the present world has been summarized, and its vital role in the modern high technology military hardware has been confirmed. The category, wave -absorbing theory and wave -absorbing methods of electromagnetic wave absorbing materials, which occupy an important position in stealth technology, have also been presented. Wave-absorbing theory and wave -absorbing methods of electromagnetic wave absorbing ceramic materials have been discussed, and several new research results of wave -absorbing ceramic materials have been introduced. Also the development trends of wave -absorbing ceramic materials are prospected.
