Abstract: The solvent debinding process of wax -based binders in sialon ceramic injection molding was studied. Effects of debinding temperature, debinding time, sample thickness, solvent adding method and different bulk surface area to volume ratios were investigated. And the maximal binder removal of dissoluble component was studied elementarily, and SEM morphology change of debinding samples analyzed. The results show that more than 75% paraffin waxes were removed and open pore channels were formed basically when these samples immersed in pure trichloroethylene at 40℃, and these samples were not deformed during thermal debinding and sintering.
