Abstract: In order to meet with the need of modern building ceramics, a novel low-temperature fast firing crystalline glaze was prepared with lead and chromium oxides as raw materials. The influences of firing system and thickness on the crystalline performance of the crystallized glaze were mainly discussed through the experiment. The results show that crystals with strong modeling effect and good decorative effect are formed in the glaze with the thickness of 1.83mm when calcined at 850℃ for 5 minutes. The XRD result indicates that this crystalline glaze shows a structure of phoenicochroite.
