A bstract: Thermal conductivity is one of the important thermophysical properties for using of ceramic powder. A bar probe was applied for determining the thermal conductivity of Al2O3 powder by the transient heat line technique which is usually used for measuring thermal conductivity of granular materials. The effects of the moisture content and the temperature on the thermal conductivity of Al2O3 powder were analyzed. The experimental results show that the thermal conductivity will increase with the increase of the moisture content and temperature, and the relationship between them is approximately linear.

Key words: thermal probe; thermal conductivity; ceramic powder
