Abstract: Based on the chemical, mineral and grain size analysis of niobium-tantalum mine tailings, glazes with zinc silicate crystals were prepared by using the tailings, cullet, calcite, titanium dioxide, zinc oxide and feldspar as raw materials. The firing temperature was controlled at 1230℃, the crystallization temperature at 1130℃, and the soaking time was 100min. The results show that the formation and the size of the crystal were affected by the formula, the firing schedule, the cooling system, the milling time, and the glazing thickness.
