Abstract: Ceramics with its comparative advantages and development potential is an indigenous industry in Jingdezhen which can play a part in the construction of the Poyang Lake eco-economic zone. It is also one of the seven pillar industries that the city is substantially committed to. This paper discusses the strategies for developing Jingdezhen ceramic industry on the basis of an account of its current status and market at home and abroad and a systematic analysis of its industrial

foundation and environment.
