Abstract: By using OpenGL on the platform of VC++, fast reading and visualization of STL files can be achieved. Along with it the realization of the translation and rotation of an STL model also makes possible the model slicing. As a result, the off-line programming system for a glazing robot can generate the correct track of a spray gun working on the model of a clay piece and subsequently verify its visual effectiveness through practical applications.
