Abstract: Jingdezhen contemporary art ceramics crafted in traditional media with traditional techniques are undergoing a comprehensive transformation under the impact of contemporary art trends. With the incorporation of contemporary art influence and the participation of transboundary artists, they have noticeably expanded in terms of art concept and expressive form, while somehow recklessly disregarded the inheritance and innovation of the traditional craft. This paper stresses the importance of art concept for ceramic art; but it also insists that craft inheritance and innovation lay the foundation of Jingdezhen contemporary art ceramics in the presence of transboundary endeavors.
