Abstract: The research used sodium feldspar, kaolin, quartz, limestone as the main raw materials for preparation of transparent crack glaze. First, exploratory experiments were conducted to determine the basic glaze recipe, and then the best recipe was obtained by orthogonal experiments. Experimental results show: the best formula by weight is 73.2% sodium feldspar, 4.1% kaolin, 12.4% quartz, and 10.3% limestone; the firing system is first heating up 156 min from room temperature to 800 ℃, holding for 30 min, then heating again for 98 min up to 1290 ℃, holding for 30 min, and finally naturally cooling down; the obtained transparent crack glaze has clear, evenly and densely
