Abstract: The iron removal and bleaching experiment on Linchuan kaolin from Jiangxi was conducted, using oxalic acid as a soaking agent and complexing agent. The infl uence of temperature, soaking time, and times of repetition on its iron removal and bleaching result was investigated, and the best iron removal and bleaching scheme was worked out. When soaked 6 hours for 3 times at 90°C, Linchuan Kaolin exhibited the best iron removal and bleaching result with its whiteness up to 86.4% from 23.5%.
