Contemplation of the Heart: The Taoist Nature of Wucai in Jiajing Period of Ming Dynasty

Abstract: Stemming from Sancai of Tang Dynasty, Wucai experienced the evolution of red-and-green color and Doucai. With its bright eyecatching colors, delicate pictures, mature technology, it opened an era of Wucai in porcelain history. Wucai porcelain, known for its Taoist nature in themes, shapes and decorations, has attracted the attention of many people in the world.
