Abstract: Using solid-state route, (1-x)Na1/2Bi1/2TiO3-xBi2/3(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3(x=0, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, 2%, 2.5%, 3%, 3.5%, (1-x)NBT-xBZN) lead-free piezoelectric ceramics were prepared, and the effects of different BZN content on the structure and electrical properties of ceramic samples were investigated. The results show that (1-x)NBT-xBZN samples possess the pure perovskite structure. The morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) of the system locates in the composition range of 2%≤x≤2.5%. Certain amounts of BZN doping promoted the growth of NBT ceramic grain and increased its density and optimized the ceramic piezoelectric properties. When x= 2%, the piezoelectric constant d33(d33= 112 pC/N) increased by 80%, and the planar coupling factor kp= 21%, the dielectric loss tanδ=3.59%, the relative dielectric constant ε33 T0=1006.

Key words: lead-free piezoelectric ceramic; Na1/2Bi1/2TiO3; morphotropic phase boundary
