Abstract:  "Jianguo Porcelain" was the first batch of New China’s porcelain organized and designed by the state organization for state use. Its successful fabrication not only shaped the national image of New China from the perspective of artifacts, but also resolved the passive state of the country in diplomatic activities during that time. Meanwhile, an aesthetic paradigm that met the development needs of New China was actively practiced and constructed, making practical contributions to the establishment of the image of a major country with a bright banner, full of vigor and vitality. The traditional aesthetic thought of creation was inherited, innovated and developed, such as "making utensils and presenting images", "beauty representing itself with diversity and integrity", "inheriting the past and presenting the present" and "technique close to Tao". The ceramic crafts design principles and artistic standards with significant Chinese characteristics were constructed, while the development path of the modern porcelain industry, integrating industry, politics, education and research, was actively explored to promote the modernization of our country's ceramic art, industry, science and education, thus laying the foundation for the later development of the ceramic industries and hence having an important historical significance for the exploration of China's current economic and social transformation and development. Therefore, it has historical logic and practical value for the construction of national-level pilot zone.
