Abstract: Zn2SnO4 micro and nano materials were prepared by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis and injection technique in a self-made combustion synthesis device with Al, Cu2O, ZnO and SnO powder mixture. The structure, morphology and infrared spectroscopy were characterized by XRD, SEM and FTIR methods. The total reaction formula of Zn2SnO4 was obtained by analyzing the reaction mechanism. Three aluminothermic reactions provide the energy guarantee for the self-propagating high-temperature synthesis. The gas effect caused by the decomposition of Cu2O at high temperature is the main reason for the injection of micro and nano particles.
