Abstract: All-solid electrolytes have become the focuses of research in recent years. Among them, the garnet-type all-solid electrolyte Li7La3Zr2O12 is a promising one due to its high ionic conductivity, wide electrochemical window and stability against lithium. The structures of garnet-type inorganic solid electrolytes, preparation methods including solid state method, sol-gel method and co-precipitation method are reviewed in this paper. The modification of solid electrolytes via doping is also systematically researched. The prospective of the solid electrolytes is proposed.
