Abstract: The reasonable firing regimes leading to furnace temperature field variation for the foamed ceramics were established, and the internal microstructure characteristics such as microporous cavity, pore mophorlogy, pore size distribution, volumetric porosity etc. of the fired foamed-ceramics by different temperature-controlling curves were compared. The influence of the controlled firing temperature curves inside the furnace on the internal tissue and structure of the foamed ceramics was preliminarily analyzed, its correlational functions on the mechanical properties of the fired foamed-ceramics were elucidated, and the temperature-controlling curves’ distribution for firing foamedceramics inside the furnace was provided.

Key words: foamed ceramics; temperature-controlling curves; micro-structure; firing regimes
