Effect of Cu Content on Properties of Ti(C, N) - based Cermets

Abstract: A series of Ti(C,N)-based cermets with different content of Cu were prepared by means of powder metallurgy process. The effects of Cu addition amount on their microstructure, bending strength, resistivity and density were investigated. The results show that the cermet with 5 g of Cu has the resistivity of 7.358×10-6 Ω · m, the highest bending strength of 50.637 MPa and the density of 98.5%.
