Abstract: Using BaCO3, ZrO2, TiO2, etc. as raw materials and Fe2O3 as a dopant, BaZr0.05Ti0.95O3 dielectric ceramics were prepared. The effects of Fe2O3 doping on the dielectric properties and microscopic morphology were investigated. The results show that Fe2O3 doping has no effect on the main crystal phase of the sample while evidently changes its dielectric properties; the optimized dielectric constant is 2202 and the optimized dissipation factor is 0.013 for the sample doped with 0.50 mol% Fe3+, making it a superior candidate material for applications. The curie temperature of the sample moves to a lower temperature with the increasing of Fe2O3.
